Memories – Art Journal
Amidst refreshing my technical skills, I have been taking breaks to work on some mixed media projects. I am waiting for the right idea to work on my 36×36 project. But meanwhile I am enjoying small less time-consuming ones like 7×10 and art journals. Just as I started working on my new 7×10 mixed media pieces, I realized the need for spray type concentrated water-based pigments and some bright acrylic colors to make it pop. I purchased some concentrated pigments and paints, and some patterned stencils to add some texture and interest to my layers. Some of the brands I purchased were Ranger Dylusions Spray Inks, Ranger Dylusions Paints, Tim Holtz stencils and the Dylusions Creative Journal among others.
I did a few journal pages out of which I am showing close-ups of just one. These pages are the thickest of all the journal pages that I have worked with so far. They take up any form of ink and paint and don’t leave a trace behind. ‘Memories’ is what I named this page. Go ahead and post your comments on how you like it.
